Riley Moon is a dizzying imaginative story about heroes and villains.

 In the aftermath of our destruction, a new hierarchy rises up out the ashes. It is a magical world filled with bizarre creatures and wicked villains. Riley Moon is a Selvain boy, enlisted by Avenu in the fight against Emi the evil dragon lord, who is bent on destroying this world.  

Riley will discover he is gaining priestly abilities, while Katinka his best friend will realize she is part of a family of powerful Magic users. When the two of them are touched by the Curse of the Dragon, their somewhat dreary lives are turned upside down.

Our heroes set out to find the truth about their misfortune and they meet Mordian, Certsey, (Magic users) Alerick and Ari (Fighter Thieves). Together they become a fun spirited group who travel to different and exciting places in their quest to kill Emi the evil dragon lord and undo the damage of the Curse of the Dragon.

The sunlight shined down, becoming muted as it transcended
through the murky water. As it passed through the leaves of the large
underwater plants it made ribbons of light, creating a geometric
obstacle course of shadows.

Her name was Ariana; they called her Ari for short.
 The scrawniest little half-Selvain mix lowered herself from a tree. 
I could not see her till she moved into plain view. 
She was equipped with a long bow. It was almost as big as her. 
Other than the glare from the three daggers she kept on her thigh, she could easily disappear 
into the landscape.

Mordian had summoned a spectral creature, a life that had been
lost. Some how trapping it in a glass jar of his own design,


The road we are on starts in Avalon. 
After crossing the bridge at Newhaven it winds threw the mountains 
eventually passing threw Hanson then Maguire. It winds far to the north, 
all the way to Suxen Falls.

" Through the intricate metal guard, 
you can see fixed to the back of her head, the carcass of a centipede like creature, 
it is a larger version of the bugs she uses in her attacks.
 The many legs have been weaved around what is left of her hair as they dig into her skin. 
The ridged sections of the bug start at her forehead, 
and follow the curvature of her skull and spine ending at her lower back.
 If you can get close enough you can see the blood vessels pumping, it still breathes.”

The air seemed to be visibly swirling around Kat, stopping her in mid-air.
She suddenly started floating up chuckling. Lou must have known. 
Everybody but me was laughing and Kat was somehow flying.

 Riley Moon Curse of the Dragon. Is a Fantasy Adventure Story filled with wicked villains and fantastic creatures. Its not your average, Kill the Dragon with one swipe story. The dragons in my book are highly intelligent Magical Creatures that plot to control civilization. Yes, they also have big teeth and bad breath. They prefer to use fiendish spells and manipulate intricate scenarios filled with death and despair. The level of their highly calculated evil plans will unfold during the coarse of the series. 
 In the first book Curse of the Dragon. You meet Riley Moon, he is a very unlikely hero. Other than being a Selvain, a race of people from the elemental realm of earth, he is just an average boy with a crush on the daughter oh his slightly ecentric human neighbor.  Her name is  Katinka, she is Riley's best friend and a presumptuous young magic user. Together they will be called upon to gather a team of dragon hunters. This is the story of Riley Moon. 
Riley will discover he is gaining priestly abilities. When I say Riley gaining priestly abilities it is not in the typical straight lace depiction of a religious priest. In his dreams he communes with Avenu. She is the Mother of all worlds including ours. All the elements are a part of her, but she still has no physical ability to directly affect our world, so she must endow those she believes can help her with special Magical Powers. For Riley to control these powers he must first learn to believe in himself. 
Riley and Katinka will meet up with Mordian, a Streetwise Necromancer and Certsey his girlfriend a Punky Illusionist. They will also be introduced to Alerick a laid back trickster and Ariona an exceedingly acrobatic fighter thief. Together they become a fun spirited group who travel to new and exciting places in their quest to kill Emi the Evil Dragon Lord and undo the damage of the Curse of the Dragon.
One of my close friends who helped me work out some of the sub plots, Said I had combined a spectacular detailed timeline with Massive Wars and Fighting Action like in Lord of the Rings, with youthful mischievous characters like from Harry Potter. If that was even possible. 
I don't think it compares to anything, I think the characters are relative to kids today, some are a little Goth and others are quirky and sassy. They like to have fun, party a little, and in the end save the day.
The timeline is also unique. In my story all the action happens after the destruction of our culture. It is a thousand years after everything we know has been destroyed. Only small groups of humans have survived. In Curse of the dragon they find a library that had been buried, In kings of Etlanthia we will learn more of who or what survives from our Civilization. 
The bottom line is Riley Moon Curse of the Dragon is a story about a group of teenagers that ultimately will be swept into the fight to defend the Earth and all its inhabitants. Together Riley, Katika, Mordian, Certsey Alerick and Ariona will become best friends and learn about what it takes to believe in each other and themselves. This is the beginning of a new group of SUPERHEROES, that we will all love and believe in. 
Riley Moon Curse of the Dragon is just a great feel good book for anyone especially teens.
It is my first book and the beginning of a fantastic adventure.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Joseph Falletta does not consider himself a writer, more of a grand story teller. He was born in Rochester New York, but grew up in Garden Grove California where he attended High School at Bolsa Grande. He further pursued his education and is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, California. He is an avid artist and has taken pleasure in many different careers, but he enjoys telling stories most of all.
